Serene, Relaxing Green Mountain Spring Farm

The gang

Beach and pool escapades seem mainstream these days. Why not get a new experience with nature? We were here for the Wild Birthday Party of a dear friend and member of Tribu AdOBo, Mandoy, who made the reservation.

With the seclusion of the Green Mountain Spring Farm, you’ll surely enjoy its beauty of relaxing ambiance at an affordable rate.

The Farm

Feel the exclusivity of the farm with your family, friends, colleagues, etc. The farm is owned and managed by a counselor of the municipality of Barili, the northern part of Cebu province. It is situated in the mountainous area of Barangay Mantayupan. Usually, the reservation is at 3,000 for 10 people inclusive of using its amenities (swimming pool, cottages, grill, kitchen with complete cooking utensils and stove, etc.).

Videoke machine is also available at 1000 pesos for the whole duration of your stay.

The Springwater-Fed Pool

Swimming in the pool is a must-try when you are here. The spring water is flowing and it’s clean. Dipping your body will surely take away your stress from work all week long.

The House and Cottages

The main house where some of us stayed is spacious and clean with a tidy and cozy comfort room inside. I found it unique since it is elevated from the floor. It even comes with a window-attached rack to dry your wet clothes.

Just a few steps from the main house are cottages with bamboo and nipa roofs. Staying in one of the cottages is fascinating. It may be challenging for some though as you need to go uphill to get there. I’m loving it, on the contrary. The cottages are spacious as well, each of which with 2 king-size beds and a comfort room. Also, they have a balcony for you to sit, lie down, or just stay and get a beautiful view of nature around.

hang your hammock anywhere around the area

The Kitchen

I bet this farm has been here for decades already. Their kitchen is huge enough and complete with all you need for cooking and eating. There are machines and equipment I believed have been used during the old days.

You just must bring all the ingredients for your menu and you are set to unleash your cooking skills. A freezer is also available to store your food. Just be mindful that it’s a freezer so better not store leafy veggies inside. Hopefully, they can provide a cooler for the veggies in the future not just a freezer.

The Gazebo

Yes, they have a mini gazebo where you can place the karaoke machine for your ala-The Voice singing session. It’s just a few steps from the pool though.

The Fish Pond, Sauna, and Spa

Beside the swimming pool is a picturesque fish pond where spring water flows. There are fishes and plants in the pond as well as a grotto.

The farm has a cute sauna room. Enjoy your sauna bath for 300 per hour at your prior request.

They also offer massage at your request as their masseuse is on call. Massage service costs 350 per hour.

This farm is one of the places I would want to revisit and spend time with loved ones and friends. The owner/manager and staff are very accommodating as well. We had fun during our stay.

The Night Party

Games, Games, Games

To make a reservation, you may visit the farm’s FB page then.
