Happy Holidays Everyone!
Since childhood, I always put a high regard on Christmas as the best holiday throughout the year. I’m always delighted and excited when the BER months start looking forward to what Christmas brings for the year. This year, Christmas would be so special for me as I’m optimistic that I and friends and those who will be joining us will be bringing the spirit of the season to some victims of Supertyphoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines. This is actually our second wave of relief campaign for the victims, our first was in the towns of Daanbantayan and Medellin in Northern Cebu on November 16, 2013.
For this purpose, I’m sharing the post I published on my Facebook account to encourage and invite everyone to share blessings and happiness to those who are now facing the wrath Yolanda left to the affected areas.
Christmas Time is Sharing Time. Indeed Christmas is a special season among all the other seasons as it is the time when families, friends and everyone gathers and celebrate the nativity of Jesus. This brings happiness to each and every one, but true happiness will best achieve when we share the blessings we have to those who are less fortunate. This coming Christmas may not be the same to the previous Christmas celebrations of those who were hardly hit by typhoon Yolanda.
How about celebrating the yuletide with them and help uplift their hope for easy recovery?
In this regard, I and some friends plan to organize an outreach program for Yolanda victims in Bantayan Island, Cebu this December 2013 (tentative date on December 21 and 22). We are once again knocking on your kind hearts, inviting you to join us in carrying out our second mission. We are planning to conduct a feeding activity and give some gifts (basic things used daily) to the island’s residents to help them slowly get back on track. Prayers aside, we highly appreciate any help you may share with our brothers and sisters in the island.
Thank you so much, God bless us and may we all have a Merry Christmas and a New Year full of hope… 🙂
